Scope:  New piping and flare system to tie process relief valve discharges into a managed closed system. 

Budget:  $145MM

Schedule:  Construction 2012 – 2018

 

Highlights:  Civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, vessel modifications, vessel setting, two new flares, multiple tie-ins, multiple critical lifts.  105 Relief valves in 33 services tied into header and flare system.  Work in multiple turnarounds.

Mitigations/Successes:  Earned Value methodology was used to measure productivity, predict cost and validate schedule.  Continuous construction contracting strategy re-evaluation and aggressive change management kept construction on schedule despite unforeseen conditions and engineering issues.

Delivered Project Safely, On-time and 14% below budget.
