Highlights: As Owner’s Agents, the Executrek team implemented an EV-based project management and project controls plan that helped monitoring the engineering effort throughout the detailed design Phase. Engineering was performed on 3 continents in 5 countries. Issued weekly analysis and identified many time and cost saving opportunities for the project. Utilizing similar EV processes, Executrek successfully executed vendor oversight for all specialty equipment manufacturers. This was a $300M scope that was on the critical path of the project.
Mitigations/Successes: By successfully integrating our project controls approach and our data analysis, Executrek provided unique insight during the detailed design and construction phases. Early identification of poor SPI, CPI and Productivity values allowed the owner and EPC firm to remove bottlenecks before following disciplines were impacted. This resulted in a 3-month schedule acceleration and a 5% cost reduction.
Achieved a 3-month schedule compression in Detailed Design and a 5% reduction in cost growth. Vendor oversight resulted in timely equipment delivery.
