A $100M-a-year capital portfolio, turned around

The project
The portfolio spent about $100M a year across many projects. A cost performance index of 0.80 meant every dollar was buying 80 cents of progress.
What we did
Executrek put one delivery system across the portfolio: earned value on every project, field-verified progress, weekly forecasts and change control.
How we handled it
Many projects, many contractors and no common measure of progress. Every project was brought onto the same earned-value basis so problems could be compared and fixed project by project.

- Cost performance index from 0.80 to 1.00
- Schedule performance index from 0.84 to 0.98
